Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 to 7 ounces bacon slices (chopped into small pieces, 6-7 slices)
  • 1 onion, chopped (medium onion)
  • 10 ounces clams (two 5 oz cans baby clams, juice reserved)
  • 2 cups potatoes, cubed
  • 1 can (10 ounce) celery soup
  • .75 cup butter
  • .75 cup flour
  • 4 cups half and half cream
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast (Optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook bacon on medium heat until crispy

  • Step 2: Add onion and cook until translucent

  • Step 3: Add clam juice from both cans and can of soup

  • Step 4: Add potatoes, cover and cook until fork tender, stirring occasionally. Add clams

  • Step 5: In a separate large pot, melt butter and whisk in flour.

  • Step 6: Slowly whisk in cream until thick and creamy

  • Step 7: Add cream mixture, nutritional yeast (if using) salt & pepper to original pan

  • Step 8: Heat all through and serve
