Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Filling:
  • 7 packages (70 ounces) frozen peaches,(10 ounces each),thawed,save juice ,(15 cups)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar,packed
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup peach juice , saved from thawed peaches
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • Crust:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup shortening ,(crisco)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup water, icy cold

How to Make

  • Step 1: For crust

  • Step 2: Mix shortening and butter together

  • Step 3: Mix flour and salt with whisk

  • Step 4: Cut into shortening mixture

  • Step 5: Crumbly

  • Step 6: Add enough water to pull dough together

  • Step 7: Roll out between 2 sheets of parchment paper 1/4 inch thick

  • Step 8: They made a lattice topping im not but you can

  • Step 9: Chill dough while assembling filling

  • Step 10: Preheat oven 375 degrees

  • Step 11: Filling

  • Step 12: Spray pam into 9x13 pan

  • Step 13: Drizzle the oil and coat pan

  • Step 14: Layer sliced peeled peaches

  • Step 15: In bottom in even layer

  • Step 16: In bowl

  • Step 17: Mix the sugars ,flour and spices with a whisk

  • Step 18: Pour in juice and whisk until smooth

  • Step 19: Pour over peaches

  • Step 20: Dot all over with butter

  • Step 21: Take off top sheet of parchment paper

  • Step 22: And place over top of peaches

  • Step 23: Tuck inside of pan

  • Step 24: Take off second piece parchment paper

  • Step 25: Bake 50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly

  • Step 26: Let stand at least 10 minutes before serving
