Step 1: Set aside about ¼ cup of the flour, to be sifted later with the baking powder.
Step 2: Mix rest of flour to a smooth paste with milk.
Step 3: Melt butter and add it to the 3 egg yolks, which have been well beaten.
Step 4: Beat ingredients for 2 minutes.
Step 5: Just prior to baking, add baking powder sifted with salt and the extra ¼ cup flour.
Step 6: Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
Step 7: Bake on hot iron until golden brown.
