  • 2 tablespoons dark molasses
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)

  • Step 5: Combine flour, bran, soda, salt, and orange rind.

  • Step 6: Beat egg and whip in oil, molasses, and buttermilk.
