Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1 cup green pepper, diced
  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 1 tablespoons flour
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese,shredded
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (9 ounce)unbaked pie crust, 9 inch

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a preheated 450 degrees oven bake pie crust unpricked 10 minutes

  • Step 2: Meanwhile

  • Step 3: A large skillet

  • Step 4: Cook the sausage, about 8 minutes. Remove from skillet

  • Step 5: Reserve about 1 Tablespoons of the drippings in the skillet.

  • Step 6: To the skillet add the green pepper and onion

  • Step 7: Cook until tender, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle in flour and cook 1 minute.

  • Step 8: In a large bowl

  • Step 9: Combine the sausage, bell pepper, 1 cup of cheese, eggs, heavy cream, salt and pepper.

  • Step 10: Pour the mixture into the baked pie crust.

  • Step 11: Top with the remaining cheese and bake in 375 degree oven until the eggs are set, testing center about 35-40 minutes.

  • Step 12: Let cool slightly before serving.
