Step 1: Grease or butter a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. In a small saucepan combine corn syrup with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar; simmer over low heat stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolves and the mixture looks “syrupy” (the cinnamon will incorporate after a few minutes of stirring). Pour the syrup mixture into the bottom of the baking pan.
Step 2: Place 6 slices of bread over the syrup mixture.
Step 3: In a bowl whisk the eggs with light cream, vanilla and salt; pour half over the top of the bread.
Step 4: Place the remaining 6 slices of bread over the syrup, then pour the remaining egg mixture over the top making certain that all the bread is covered with the egg mixture.
Step 5: Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for minimum 6 hours or overnight. When ready to bake preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
