Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 85 grams taco shells ( hard taco shells, 8 hard shells - packet of 12 weighs 170 grams)
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 pacet (50 grams) chili seasoning mix ( Mexico Chile Con Carne Seasoning)
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 200 grams red capsicum (seeded and finely chopped, 1 small weight is about)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 180°C.

  • Step 2: Place the taco shells on a large baking tray and bake for 5 mins or until heated through.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile, add the mince to a non-stick frying pan over high heat and cook, stirring, for 5 mins or until the mince changes colour and then add the chile con carne seasoning and 3/4 cup (185ml) water and cook, stirring, for 5 mins or until the mince mixture thickens.

  • Step 4: Divide the taco shells among serving plates and fill taco shells with the mince mixture, lettuce and capsicum.
