Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup instant potato flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package (1/4 ounces)active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup water , lukewarm
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • Filling:
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup water,boiling
  • 1 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Scald milk

  • Step 2: Remove from the heat and add the butter and honey

  • Step 3: Stir until melted.

  • Step 4: Add potato flakes and sugar

  • Step 5: Mix

  • Step 6: When cool

  • Step 7: Add egg

  • Step 8: Add vanilla

  • Step 9: Mix

  • Step 10: Add flour and salt

  • Step 11: Mix

  • Step 12: Knead on floured bread board

  • Step 13: Put in oiled bowl

  • Step 14: Cover let raise until double

  • Step 15: Meanwhile pour boiling water over raisins and let cool

  • Step 16: Pat dough into rectangle

  • Step 17: Brush with melted butter

  • Step 18: Sprinkle brown sugar over dough

  • Step 19: Sprinkle cinnamon over sugar

  • Step 20: Drain raisins

  • Step 21: Toss in flour

  • Step 22: And sprinkle over cinnamon

  • Step 23: Roll like your making cinnamon rolls cut in half

  • Step 24: Take pinched rolls and wrap one around the other

  • Step 25: Put dough in buttered pam sprayed bread pan

  • Step 26: Punch down to make level

  • Step 27: Turn oven to preheat 350 degrees about 45 minutes into 2nd raise

  • Step 28: Let raise until double about 1 hour

  • Step 29: Bake for 50 minutes until done

  • Step 30: Brush with melted butter if you wish
