Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 3 cups peanut oil ,for frying
  • 4 ounces hamburger buns
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/8 cup dill pickle slices

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put 2 big chicken breasts in zippered bag one at a time and pound gently with the flat side of a mallet until about ½-inch thick.

  • Step 2: Take out

  • Step 3: Cut each breast into 2 equal pieces.

  • Step 4: Add back into bag

  • Step 5: Add pickle juice

  • Step 6: Marinate chicken in the pickle juice for about an hour.

  • Step 7: Beat together egg and milk in a bowl.

  • Step 8: Mix together the flour, sugar, and spices in another bowl.

  • Step 9: Heat the oil in a skillet to about 350.

  • Step 10: Dip each chicken breast piece into the egg covering both sides, then coat in flour on each side.

  • Step 11: Fry each chicken piece for 2 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through.

  • Step 12: Meanwhile butter the buns and grill them until lightlty browned

  • Step 13: Place on paper towels to absorb any excess oil,

  • Step 14: Then serve on toasted buns with pickle slices.
