Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 40 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 110 grams slivered almonds (or flaked almonds, 1 cup )
  • 2 tablespoon lemon, zest
  • 20 grams oregano leaves ( 1/4 cup)
  • 800 grams green beans (fresh, cleaned & trimmed)
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt the butter and the oil in a deep fry pan and place over a medium heat, add the almonds, zest and oregano.

  • Step 2: Cook mix stirring for 2 minutes or until light golden. the add the beans and toss them well to combine.

  • Step 3: Cover pan with a tight fitting lid and cook beans for a further 3 minutes or until the beans are just cooked.

  • Step 4: Remove the pan from the heat, add in the lemon juice, salt & pepper & toss to combine.
