The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice (chilled)
  • Kosher salt (or sugar for rimming the glasses)
  • 2 ounces triple sec
  • 4 ounces tequila (silver tequila or tequila of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (juice of 1 lime)
  • 2 ounces liqueur (pomegranate liqueur, such as Pama brand, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup (or simple syrup, optional, depending on if you like it sweetened or not)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime, sliced (4 lime wheels, for garnish)
  • Club soda (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Moisten rims of glasses with a wedge of lime. Spread the kosher salt or sugar in a saucer. Dip the rims of the glasses to coat evenly with the salt or sugar.

  • Step 2: In a cocktail shaker with ice place the pomegranate juice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and pomegranate liqueur and agave or simple syrups (if using). Add additional ice to each glass, if needed (in case you don't want to use the ice in the shaker, and if it has dissolved some-what). Pour into the glasses and top off with club soda, if desired. Garnish with a lime wedge.
