Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces canadian bacon ,diced
  • 4 ounces thick cut bacon,chopped
  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 2 stalks celery,chopped
  • 4 ounces frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 pounds potatoes,peeled,diced,(4 cups)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat bacon until rendered

  • Step 2: Take out

  • Step 3: Add butter to grease

  • Step 4: Saute onions and celery

  • Step 5: Until tender

  • Step 6: Add flour

  • Step 7: Add broth and potatoes

  • Step 8: Simmer 10 minutes

  • Step 9: Add peas and carrots, milk ,Canadian bacon and cooked bacon

  • Step 10: If to thick add a little water stir often

  • Step 11: Simmer 10 minutes more

  • Step 12: Take off heat and add cream and cheese

  • Step 13: Stir

  • Step 14: Season to taste
