Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 ounces shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 10 ounces frozen broccoli florets, thawed
  • 3 mushrooms, sliced
  • SAUCE
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix the chicken stock, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil and white pepper and set aside.

  • Step 2: Heat the wok over high heat.

  • Step 3: Pour 2 tablespoons of canola oil around the perimeter of the wok, stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes.

  • Step 4: Add broccoli and shrimp and mushrooms.

  • Step 5: Heat and add the Shaoxing wine.

  • Step 6: Add the chicken stock mixture.

  • Step 7: Bring the sauce up to a boil,

  • Step 8: Once everything comes to a boil, mix in the cornstarch and water mixed in small bowl.

  • Step 9: Cook until the sauce thickens and starts to cling to the shrimp and broccoli.
