Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 ounces gin (high-quality gin, suggested: Hendrick’s, Beefeater, Tanqueray, etc. )
  • 3 ounces pomegranate juice
  • 2 ounces sugar syrup ( rosemary-brown sugar syrup following recipe)
  • Seltzer water
  • 2 small rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
  • 20 pomegranate seeds (approximately, for garnish, if desired)
  • Rosemary-Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 6 sprigs rosemary (Fresh)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Fill highball glasses with ice.

  • Step 2: Into each glass, evenly place gin, pomegranate juice and the 2 ounces of "Rosemary-Brown Sugar Simple Syrup".

  • Step 3: Top with seltzer and stir.

  • Step 4: Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and 10 pomegranate seeds.

  • Note: Recipe can be doubled, tripled, etc. and served in a pitcher.

  • Rosemary-Brown Sugar Syrup

  • Step 5: In a small saucepan set over medium-high heat add water, brown sugar, and rosemary.

  • Step 6: Stir until sugar completely dissolves. Let the mixture simmer for 1 minute.

  • Step 7: Remove pan from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature allowing the flavors to deepen – about 2 hours.

  • Step 8: Once cooled, pour syrup through a strainer and discard the solids.

  • Step 9: Store in a glass jar. Keeps about 2 months in the refrigerator.
