Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons minced ginger root
  • 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 16 cups cold water
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable bouillon (vegetarian base, Better Than Bouillon)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine ginger, garlic, and vegetable oil in a large pot and saute for 5 minutes.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, whisk together the cornstarch with 2 cups of the water until dissolved.

  • Step 3: Add cornstarch mixture, vegetarian base, and remaining water to the pot and bring to a boil.

  • Step 4: Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add salt and pepper to taste.
