Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (20 ounce) pineapple chunks
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise (Best Foods or Hellman's)
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon granulated white sugar
  • 64 ounces cabbage, green (2 medium heads 32 ounces each, sliced shredded)
  • 2 1/4 cups shredded coconut

How to Make

  • Step 1: Drain pineapple chunks but saving 1 1/2 tablespoons of the juice.

  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, 1 1/2 tablespoon pineapple juice and white sugar. Thoroughly whisk to combine.

  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the green cabbage, coconut, pineapple chunks and dressing.

  • Step 4: Thoroughly mix until all cabbage is coated with dressing.

  • Step 5: Allow to chill in refrigerator for the best flavor.
