The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup rice, hot cooked (= 3 cups cooked rice)
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup hot nonfat milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon Tabasco (optional)
  • Pinch of cayenne (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Hungarian paprika or more (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place rice and ½ cup of the cheese in a buttered shallow 1-quart baking dish.

  • Step 2: Combine milk, salt, peppr and Worcestershire, adding Tabasco and cayenne if desired.

  • Step 3: Pour over rice and mix well.

  • Step 4: Sprinkle with remaining cheese and add paprika if desired.

  • Step 5: Bake 20 minutes at 350' F.
