  • 1/8 cup flour

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 can (10 ounces) cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups light cream
  • 8 ounces velveeta cheese,sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • Garnish:
  • 4 ounces cooked bacon ,crumbled
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese,shredded
  • 1 tablespoons chives,minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: In stock pot cook potatoes in chicken stock 10 minutes

  • Step 2: Meanwhile heat butter combine flour cook until light gold

  • Step 3: Add milk and seasoning

  • Step 4: Stir until thickened simmer 10 minutes

  • Step 5: Add potatoes and stock

  • Step 6: Add soup

  • Step 7: Simmer for 10 more minutes

  • Step 8: Add velveeta light cream and hot sauce, they used a heavier hand add to your taste

  • Step 9: Continue simmering stirring gently until cheese is melted

  • Step 10: And soup is thick

  • Step 11: Taste for seasoning

  • Step 12: Bowl up and sprinkle on cheese bacon and chives
