Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 pound dry noodles (fine noodles, cooked as directed = 4 cups)
  • 1 cup sour cream (commercial)
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese ( small-curd creamed)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oil (salad oil)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • ⅓ cup apricot syrup ( from 16-ounce can)
  • ⅓ cup peach syrup (from 16-ounce can)
  • 1 cup apricot halves (canned)
  • ½ cup peach slices (canned)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil noodles and turn into colander to drain.

  • Step 2: Stir together: sour cream, cottage cheese, sugar, oil, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and syrups.

  • Step 3: Add noodles and eggs and mix well.

  • Step 4: In a 1-quart round casserole, layer one-half the noodle mixture.

  • Step 5: Arrange apricot halves and peach slices on top of it.

  • Step 6: Spread remaining mixture over the fruit.

  • Step 7: Bake uncovered at 350' F. for 1 hour.

  • Step 8: Garnish with extra apricots and peaches.

  • Step 9: Serve warm with chicken or meat.
