  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/16 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/16 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/16 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • Step 2: Oil yam lightly

  • Step 3: Put on a piece of tin foil

  • Step 4: Bake yam for 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on size.

  • Step 5: When they are done, they will be very soft in the center, and you will see liquid from the potato oozing out and charring.

  • Step 6: When the potato is sliced open, the inside of the skin will be charred black from the caramelizing sugar in the potato.

  • Step 7: This is a perfectly cooked potato.

  • Step 8: To serve, slice a potato down the center. Add two tablespoons of whipped butter, salt then sprinkle some cinnamon/sugar over the top.
