Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2: Oil yam lightly
Step 3: Put on a piece of tin foil
Step 4: Bake yam for 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on size.
Step 5: When they are done, they will be very soft in the center, and you will see liquid from the potato oozing out and charring.
Step 6: When the potato is sliced open, the inside of the skin will be charred black from the caramelizing sugar in the potato.
Step 7: This is a perfectly cooked potato.
Step 8: To serve, slice a potato down the center. Add two tablespoons of whipped butter, salt then sprinkle some cinnamon/sugar over the top.
