Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 kilogram chicken wings, (cut in half)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons veg oil
  • 3 teaspoons chilli powder (or less or even none, depends on your pallet)
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 level teaspoon salt flakes
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 6 cloves garlic, ground to a paste
  • 1 tablespoons chinese rice wine
  • 1 tablespoons butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 180’c

  • Step 2: Into a small bowl; combine the soy, veg oil, chili powder, curry powder, salt, ginger and garlic paste, rice wine and honey and miz well.

  • Step 3: Pour the marinade over the chicken and massage the marinade well into the chicken and refrigerate. The longer you marinate the better.

  • Step 4: Place the marinated chicken wings into a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place in the oven and bake for at least 60 minutes

  • Step 5: - turning the wings in the sauce from time to time, so as to coat the sauce and making sure the wings do not to stick.

  • Step 6: The chicken wings should be sticky & golden brown when fully cooked. Remove the chicken wings to a serving dish and drizzle over any of the pan juices.

  • Step 7: Serve.
