  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Vegetable mix:
  • 2 cups celery, sliced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms,sliced
  • 1 can (6 ounces) water chestnuts,sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic ,sliced
  • Sauce:
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoons rice wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Slurry:
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoon water
  • 2 tablespoons corn oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix marinade and let set for 10 minutes

  • Step 2: Heat wok

  • Step 3: Add oil

  • Step 4: Pour in chicken

  • Step 5: Cook until done

  • Step 6: Take out

  • Step 7: Add more oil

  • Step 8: Add veggies not garlic

  • Step 9: Cook until just tender crisp

  • Step 10: Add garlic stirring constantly

  • Step 11: Add meat back in

  • Step 12: Add sauce mix

  • Step 13: Cook a minute

  • Step 14: Mix slurry cornstarch with water

  • Step 15: Pour into mixture cook until thickened
