Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 (1 pound) Golden tile fish fillets (cut into 4 portions)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Peanut oil (enough to fill a cast iron dutch oven halfway)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix the flour , panko and seasonings - set aside in a shallow dish.

  • Step 2: Place the beaten eggs in another dish.

  • Step 3: Dip the fillets into the flour/panko mix, then dip in egg, then dip into the flour/panko again; Set the prepared fillets aside and let them sit for at least 10 minutes.

  • Step 4: In a large cast iron dutch oven, heat the oil until it reaches 350F.

  • Step 5: Deep fry the fillets until golden brown and the inside temp reaches 145-150.

  • Step 6: Drain on paper towels.
