Step 1: In the top of a double boiler or using a heatproof bowl or pan on top of a pan of boiling water, add the chocolate.
Step 2: Add butter to the chocolate and stir to melt chocolate. When melted add the sweetened condensed milk.
Step 3: Stir in hazelnuts if using , stirring into everything is smooth and evenly distributed. Spoon into clean glass jars, cover and leave to cool. Store in a cool place for up to 2 weeks.
