Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In the bowl of an electric mixer cream butter until smooth and then add the sugars and beat again. Add eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla and salt and mix until light. Add a few drops of green food color.
Step 3: In another bowl sift together the dry ingredients (flour - baking soda) and then add the dry to the creamed ingredients and mix until combined. DO NOT OVERMIX.
Step 4: Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Step 5: Scoop dough and place on parchment lined or buttered baking sheets.
Step 6: Bake for 10-15 minutes.
