Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces dry elbow macaroni (1 cup)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated (sharp)
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • Hungarian paprika, pinch
  • White pepper, pinch of
  • Cayenne, pinch of

How to Make

  • Step 1: Bring salted water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan.

  • Step 2: Stir in the macaroni and return to a boil.

  • Step 3: Stirring occasionally, continue boiling for 4 minutes.

  • Step 4: Then lower heat to medium and continue boiling, with frequent stirring, for 7 minutes more. To prevent sticking, try reducing the heat to the lowest setting for the last few minutes.

  • Step 5: Add the other ingredients, stirring well, till cheese is melted.
