  • 2 cans (30 ounces) navy beans,drained
  • 6 cups water
  • 6 ounces bacon(6 slices)
  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, they said 2 teaspoons
  • 1 pound potato,diced (2 potatoes)
  • 1 1/3 cup celery,chopped, leaves too
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups milk,scalded
  • 1 tablespoons parsley,minced
  • 4 ounces american cheese, chopped (4 slices)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute bacon

  • Step 2: Add onions and celery

  • Step 3: Saute

  • Step 4: It said leave in grease,take off if you want

  • Step 5: Add beans, tomatoes,potatoes, carrots and water ,make sure everthing is covered

  • Step 6: Simmer 40 minutes

  • Step 7: Add flour in 1/4 cup water

  • Step 8: Simmer 10 minutes

  • Step 9: Add parsley

  • Step 10: Add hot milk

  • Step 11: Add cheese after you take off heat let set 5 minutes covered so cheese melts
