Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds haddock
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 ounces salt pork,diced
  • 2 cups onions ,sliced,( 2 onions)
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled, diced,(4 large potatoes)
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf ,crumbled
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil haddock in water for 15 minutes

  • Step 2: Meanwhile

  • Step 3: Saute pork until crisp remove add onions fry until golden brown

  • Step 4: Add celery,potatoes bay leaf and seasoning

  • Step 5: Take fish out of water ,debone add large chunks into potato mixture along with broth

  • Step 6: Simmer 30 minutes

  • Step 7: Add milk and heat

  • Step 8: Add butter

  • Step 9: Serve sprinkled with pork
