Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce (with garlic, onion and herb)
  • 400 grams pita pockets (6 breads to a packet)
  • 200 grams ham (sliced leg ham)
  • 150 grams basil pesto dip
  • 250 grams ricotta cheese (fresh and crumbled)
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped (ripe)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shaved
  • 1 packet (60 grams) baby rocket leaves

How to Make

  • Step 1: Spread pizza sauce evenly over one side of pocket breads and then place on two, oiled, large oven trays.

  • Step 2: Tear ham into 5cm pieces and arrange over pocket breads and then divide teaspoons of pesto over top and sprinkle evenly with ricotta, tomatoes and parmesan.

  • Step 3: Cook in a hot oven (200C) for about 12 minutes, or until breads are crisp and browned around the edges.

  • Step 4: Remove and serve pizzas topped with rocket.

  • Step 5: TIP Pizza sauce is available in a squeeze-bottle or sachets, while fresh ricotta is available from the deli counter of most supermarkets.
