Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 medium mushroom caps, cleaned, stems removed (save the stems for another reciipe)
  • 1/4 cup 2% cottage cheese, lightly drained
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 galic cloves, finely minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon cayenne or chili powder

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the mushrooms in a baking dish, cavity side up

  • Step 2: Mix together the cottage cheese, jalapeno, garlic, mix well.

  • Step 3: Fill the caps with the cottage cheese, sprinkle with cayenne

  • Step 4: Have the oven rack in the middle of the oven, turn on broiler and broil the mushrooms until the cottage cheese is nice and bubbly and browned about 15 minutes

  • Step 5: Serve warm
