Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 4 (24 ounces) salmon fillets (patted dry with a paper towel)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chives, finely minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and pepper flakes

  • Step 2: In a large skillet over medium-low heat, heat the oil. When the oil is hot, add salmon and season with salt. Cook salmon until golden, about 5 minuets, then flip over. Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant. Raise the heat to medium-high and add the honey mixture. Cook until sauce reduces slightly, about 5 minutes (recommended internal temperature: 145°F.

  • Step 3: Baste salmon with the sauce.

  • Step 4: To serve, garnish with chives.
