Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 unbaked (123 grams) pie shell (9 inch)
  • 1 1/2 cups pureed pumpkin (canned)
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¾ cups sugar
  • ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoons ground mace
  • ½ teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons ground ginger
  • FOR TOPPING
  • 1 cup whipped cream (Reddie Whip)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Make the pie shell with a high scalloped edge,

  • Step 2: Refrigerate for several hours.

  • Step 3: Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  • Step 4: In a large bowl (with a pouring lip if you have one)

  • Step 5: Combine the pumpkin with the eggs, then the cream, sugar, salt and spices. Blend well and pour into the chilled pie shell.

  • Step 6: Bake for 15 mins, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 50-65 minutes more,

  • Step 7: Or until knife inserted in center of the pie comes out with only a few flecks clinging to it.

  • Step 8: Chill before serving.

  • Step 9: They serve it with a thick high piping of

  • Step 10: Reddie-wip cream just inside the pie (14 piles touching each other) crust all the way around,which is probably why it needs a high flute
