  • 2 pints tomatoes (cherry or grape tomatoes)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (extra-virgin)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large (12-inch) skillet over medium-high heat until it just starts to smoke. Add the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 2: Saute, shaking pan frequently, until tomatoes soften and skins just start to wrinkle, about 2-4 minutes. Stir in garlic and continue to shake pan until garlic is fragrant.

  • Step 3: Stir in basil and extra-virgin olive oil and serve.
