Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • FOR RICE LAYER
  • 7 ounces raw rice( 1 cup)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • FOR BEEF LAYER
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, minced
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup parsley ,minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: FOR THE RICE: Saute rice in butter and oil

  • Step 2: Add water, seasoning and sugar cover and simmer for 20 minutes covered

  • Step 3: Take off lid put a layer of paper towels

  • Step 4: Cover and let set while cooking beef

  • Step 5: In skillet: add butter and oil. Saute vegetables

  • Step 6: Add ground beef. Add garlic. Drain grease if necessary. Season then add parsley

  • Step 7: In large heatproof bowl that you have sprayed pam in, add the beef on bottom, then press in rice pretty hard so will all stick together

  • Step 8: Put plate on top and flip over rice will be on bottom
