The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 4 (4 pound) beef T-bone steaks (each about 1 pound, 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1/4 cup Cognac
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 drop Tabasco sauce
  • 1 drop lemon juice

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 150ºF.

  • Step 2: Cook steaks in 2 batches. Heat 1/2 of oil. Cook meat 4-5 minutes at high heat in skillet. Turn meat. Cook another 4-5 minutes. Keep warm in oven. Repeat with other steaks.

  • Step 3: Add butter, mushrooms, shallots, and parsley to pan. Season well. Cook 4-5 minutes on medium heat.

  • Step 4: Pour in cognac. Cook 3 minutes on high heat.

  • Step 5: Add cream and Tabasco. Cook 5-6 minutes on high heat. Mix in lemon juice.

  • Step 6: Serve with steaks.
