The ingredients are:
  • 1 jar (2 pounds)sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1/2 cup onions,sliced
  • 1 cup apple, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup water boiling

How to Make

  • Step 1: In crockpot lay

  • Step 2: 1/2 the sauerkraut on bottom

  • Step 3: Sprinkle with flour.

  • Step 4: Add the meat, onion, apple, and sugar. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  • Step 5: Lay remaining sauerkraut on top of meat.

  • Step 6: Add boiling water, just to cover and cook for 4 hours slowly over low heat.
