Step 4: Stir in the sauerkraut, sugar, caraway and polish sausage, beer.
Step 5: Bring to boiling.
Step 6: Lower heat; simmer, partially covered, 1 hour.
Step 7: Add carrot.
Step 8: Simmer, partially covered, 30 minutes longer.
Step 9: If mixture is too wet, raise heat slightly; cook, uncovered, a little longer.
Step 10: Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 11: Sprinkle with parsley.
