Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 pound green beans (trimmed and cut on the diagonal into 1 inch pieces - you should have about 2 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio nuts (toasted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat heat the oil and then add the onion, cooking for a few minutes until soft and then stir in the garlic and cook stirring for another minute. Add the green beans, sprinkle with salt and pepper and then cook for about 5 minutes or until beans begins to soften.

  • Step 2: Pour in the orange juice and vinegar and cook stirring occasionally for 5-10 minutes or until beans ar cooked through and sauce begins to thicken.

  • Step 3: Transfer beans to a serving dish and sprinkle with the toasted pistachios; toss.
