Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Grease and flour two 9 x 5 inch bread pans and set them aside.
Step 3: Boil the one cup of water and add it to the one cup of raisins and set them aside.
Step 4: In a large bowl, mash the pork and beans (undrained) with a potato masher. Add the sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla, and mix well.
Step 5: In another bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and the baking powder. Add them into the bean mixture, stirring them all together.
Step 6: Drain the raisins. Fold the raisins and the nuts into the batter.
Step 7: Spoon the batter into the two bread pans.
Step 8: Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 to 60 minutes.
