Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning (pepper steak seasoning)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 400 grams beef sirloin steaks (beef sizzle steak packet specified)
  • 1 onion (large onion, halved, sliced)
  • 4 (240 grams) bread buns (Turkish rolls, split and toasted)
  • Roasted capsicum dip (1/3 cup)
  • 8 leaves lettuce ( butter lettuce)
  • 2 roma tomatoes, sliced
  • Dijonnaise mayonnaise, to serve
  • Cooked potato wedges, to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine seasoning with half the oil in a large bowl and add beef and rub to coat.

  • Step 2: Heat remaining oil in a medium frying pan over a medium to high heat and add onion and cook, stirring occasionally for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until light golden and soft and remove and cover to keep warm.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile, heat a large, barbecue flat plate over a high heat and add beef and cook for about 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side, or until browned and tender and then remove.

  • Step 4: Spread dip over the base of toasted rolls and top with lettuce, tomatoes, beef and warm onion and dollop with Dijonaise and replace tops.
