Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cloves garlic,smashed
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 3 cans (45 ounces) kidney beans (15 ounces each,drained)
  • 1 can (17 ounce) lima beans (green, drained)
  • 1 can (16 ounces) baked beans
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: In large skillet, saute onion and garlic in butter until tender,

  • Step 3: About 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: In 2 quart casserole, combine kidney, lima and baked beans.

  • Step 5: Add sauteed onions and garlic.

  • Step 6: In small bowl, combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar and mustard.

  • Step 7: Add to beans,

  • Step 8: Mixing well.

  • Step 9: Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 10: Bake,

  • Step 11: Covered, for 25 minutes.

  • Step 12: Uncover and bake 5 minutes longer to lightly brown.
