  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 236 grams pita breads
  • 3 cups lettuce, shredded
  • Tomato, chopped (large tomato)
  • 1 onion, chopped (small onion)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix first five ingredients Cover and refridgerate a few hours

  • Step 2: Combine ground beef and seasonings.

  • Step 3: Mix well

  • Step 4: Shape into 4 patties

  • Step 5: Grill covered (or use a toaster oven or broiler) until done 10 to 12 minutes. Flip once during cooking.

  • Step 6: Cut patties into slices

  • Step 7: Stuff into pitas

  • Step 8: Add lettuce cucumber tomato and onion

  • Step 9: Serve with sauce.
