  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • FOR TOPPING
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2/4 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream the butter until light and fluffy

  • Step 2: Add the sugar then beat until well combined. Beat in the egg. Continue beating until well blended

  • Step 3: Add in the sifted, dry ingredients and spices alternately with the water and lemon juice combined.

  • Step 4: Add the remaining ingredients.

  • Step 5: Pour into a greased pan.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle top with the Crumbly Topping, that you have mixed together with your fingers

  • Step 7: Bake in a moderate oven at 350 degrees, for 40 to 45 minutes, until done
