Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 ounces bacon, diced (1/2 c.)
  • 1 cup onions ,chopped
  • 1 cup celery,chopped
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced 1/2" cubes
  • 1 cup frozen green beans
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato paste
  • 1 can (15 ounces) corn kernel
  • 1 can (15 ounces) lima beans
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans
  • 1 cup green bell pepper (seeded & diced)
  • 1 cup red bell pepper (seeded & diced)
  • 4 ounces ham, diced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoons salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large soup kettle,

  • Step 2: Add bacon and cook until crisp.

  • Step 3: Add onions and celery and saute until vegetables are soft.

  • Step 4: Add tomato paste

  • Step 5: Add chicken stock, chicken bouillon powder, diced potato, frozen beans

  • Step 6: . Bring to a boil,

  • Step 7: Turn down heat

  • Step 8: And simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Step 9: Add kernel corn, lima beans, pinto beans, green and red pepper, diced hamand parsley.

  • Step 10: Return to heat and heat thoroughly 15 minutes.

  • Step 11: Season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
