  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 2 ounces cheddar cheese (sharp)
  • 8 ounces bacon
  • 1 package (16 ounces) bread buns (hot dog rolls)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute the onions in the butter in a pan until the onions are soft and light brown.

  • Step 2: Cut a lengthwise slit into the hot dogs

  • Step 3: Fill the hot dogs with the cooked onions

  • Step 4: Top the onions with enough cheese to cover the length of the dog.

  • Step 5: Wind one slice of bacon around the stuffed hot dog in a spiral until the dog is covered.

  • Step 6: Secure the bacon in place with toothpicks.

  • Step 7: Brown the bacon

  • Step 8: Take off toothpick

  • Step 9: Put in bun

  • Step 10: Add mustard to taste
