  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic,smashed
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 10 cups chicken broth
  • 1 pound potatoes, peeled, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces kale, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute sausage

  • Step 2: Remove

  • Step 3: Drain grease ,if not to greasy leave some in

  • Step 4: Fry bacon and onions until soft

  • Step 5: Add garlic

  • Step 6: Add broth

  • Step 7: Add potatoes

  • Step 8: Add nutmeg

  • Step 9: Season

  • Step 10: Simmer for 20 minutes

  • Step 11: Add sausage and kale simmer 10 minutes

  • Step 12: Season to taste

  • Step 13: Take off heat add cream
