Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon onion, fresh, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed (8 gram)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 600 grams leeks (fresh, washed well, trimmed and cut in halves lengthwise, 6 leeks)
  • Seasonings, to suit your taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Lightly saute the onions and garlic in a little of the butter until softened,

  • Step 2: Place the leeks in salted boiling water to simmer & cook for 3 minutes ~ Drain and refresh the leeks in very cold water.

  • Step 3: Place the leeks in a greased casserole dish, dot with the remaining butter and sprinkle with season ~ to your liking.

  • Step 4: Cover dish with a lid or foil and cool at 180c (350F) for 20 minutes.

  • Step 5: Serve hot as a side dish.
