Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2/3 cup yakitori sauce
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1.4 kilogram chicken drumsticks (8 drumsticks)
  • 180 grams udon noodles (2 x 90 gram packets)
  • 375 grams vegetables, mixed stir-fry vegetables

How to Make

  • Step 1: Set aside one-third of a cup of the sauce in a small bowl.

  • Step 2: Place remaining sauce, honey and ginger in a just and mix together well.

  • Step 3: Place chicken in a single layer in a large roasting pan lined with baking paper and season with salt and pepper and then cook, uncovered, in a hot oven (200C) for 30 minutes.

  • Step 4: Remove and pour over sauce mixture and toss well to coat and then return to oven and cook, turning halfway, for a further 20 minutes, or until sauce is sticky and chicken is cooked.

  • Step 5: Meanwhile prepare noodles according to packet directions, drain and rinse under cold water and drain well.

  • Step 6: Heat an oiled large wok over a high heat and add the vegetables and stir-fy for 1 minutes and then add the noodles and reserved sauce and stir-fry for a further 1 to 2 minutes, or until hot.

  • Step 7: Serve chicken with noodle mixture.
