Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Butter or spray a 9x9" baking pan.
Step 3: Melt the butter.
Step 4: Using a wooden spoon, mix in the brown sugar and cocoa.
Step 5: Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix well.
Step 6: Add vanilla, and mix to combine.
Step 7: In another bowl, whisk flour, salt and baking powder together.
Step 8: Combine with butter mixture, and spread evenly in the baking dish. Set aside.
Step 9: Melt the chocolate in the microwave.
Step 10: Place cream cheese, egg, sugar, vanilla and salt in a food processor, and process until smooth.
Step 11: Add melted chocolate, and process to combine.
Step 12: Spread cheesecake mixture evenly over the Brownie Layer.
Step 13: Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
Step 14: Test with a toothpick (At most you should only get a few moist crumbs).
Step 15: Cool completely in pan, before cutting.
Step 16: Store in a sealed container, preferably in the refrigerator.
Step 17: Excellent cold or at room temperature!
