  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper ,(or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup whiskey (bourbon whiskey)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine oil and butter in saucepan.

  • Step 2: Heat together over high heat until butter is melted.

  • Step 3: Add onions and cook for about 2 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add salt, pepper, and broth.

  • Step 5: Cover, reduce heat, and simmer about 10 minutes.

  • Step 6: Add Bourbon and cook until the sauce is slightly reduced.
